Large Friendship,
Antique Finish

Yachts in the first half of the 20th century were mostly built at small, local yards. Hull shape and rig were adapted from proven fishing vessels and pilot boats. Endurance and ease of use were key factors. The Friendship was designed as a family world cruiser, able to withstand all conditions. Two masted, plank-on-frame hull, detailed. Truly a classic.

Newport Sloop

This boat invites one to tell the story of how it was found at the Marché Biro, avenue Michelet in Paris. It was the deep distressed black, white and red patina that attracted instantly. And the fact that the old gentleman confided that it was purchased only recently at Drouot, the one auction house in Paris. Better catch your breath; you might get carried away since it still has its AM bronze name plaque in place somewhere… Astounding in its very own way.
